Padres on Saturday reached an agreement with Correia on a one-year deal worth about $3.6 million. – More
Good move, 3.6 is .6 too high, but I’m sure Kev will still produce like last year. The article also says the Padres have tendered contracts to Mike Adams, Heath Bell and Kouz… keep ‘em all, Hoyer! I’d hate to see him go, but you might have to trade A-Gon. And you have to get at least 2 MLB-ready players and 2 prospects. We can’t afford what he’s worth. Peavy anyone?
Chargers stadium site downtown too small to be privately funded? – More
Lame! Apparently, the site downtown is only 10 acres. Too small to build a stadium as well as shops and restaurants to help pay for said stadium. Two stadiums downtown would be so fucking awesome. I might visit SD more often.

i’m pretty sure there is no financial or contractual reason to trade A-gon until after next year. it seems like they have him under long term contract for the next two years at reasonable cost. i will try to find a source for that info..
also, the baked macaroni and blue cheese with pancetta at the cafe chloe on 10th&G is reason enough to visit san diego.
there’s no financial or contractual reasons to trade adrian right now but his value is much higher now than what it will be a year from now. check out the new post i just tossed up…
